The Small "Tea Habit" That Helped Me Drop from 190 Down to 136lbs! I am Down 54lbs And I Feel Great!
The OLD Unhappy Me!
From 190-136lbs
I used to be a lot heavier… and for the longest time, I couldn’t even say that out loud without feeling uncomfortable.
But I’m finally at a place where I can be honest—without beating myself up.
When I see old photos of myself, I still feel that sharp little ache in my chest.
The embarrassment. The regret. The feeling of “How did I let it get this far?”
And even though I’ve come so far… those memories still hit hard.
I’m sharing this because I know there are so many people who do the same thing.
You scroll past pictures. You avoid mirrors. You pretend you don’t care… but deep down it hurts.
If you’ve ever looked at yourself and felt disappointed or ashamed, I want you to know something:
I understand. I’ve been there.
For me, the weight didn’t show up overnight.
It slowly built up over the years—nearly two decades of “I’ll deal with it later.”
And honestly? I was exhausted.
I was raising two kids, managing life, handling everyone else’s needs… and somehow I always ended up at the bottom of the list.
Not because I didn’t matter—
but because I kept convincing myself that everyone else mattered more.
And I know I’m not the only one who’s done that.
So many women pour everything they have into their families until they’re running on fumes… and then one day, you look up and barely recognize yourself anymore.
But here’s what I want you to take from this:
It doesn’t have to stay that way.
Something shifted in me.
I stopped waiting for the “perfect time.”
I stopped believing I was stuck.
And little by little… I started coming back to myself.
This is my short success story, and I’m sharing it for one reason:
So you can see what’s possible.
Because if I could turn things around after years of feeling defeated…
then you can too. ❤️
I Tried It All And Nothing Worked Until ...
I didn’t recognize myself anymore.
Not in the way people say it casually—like “I’ve changed a little.”
I mean… I truly felt like I was living inside a body that didn’t belong to me.
Every mirror felt like a reminder.
Every photo felt like proof.
And the hardest part was realizing I couldn’t blame it on “one bad month” or “a stressful season.”
This was my reality now.
Then one day—completely out of nowhere—something shifted.
I was sitting in my usual spot, wearing the same loose, comfortable sweatpants I always grabbed because they didn’t pinch or cling or make me feel worse than I already did.
I was just scrolling through Facebook… not even thinking… not looking for answers…
And then I saw a post that made me stop.
It was about a woman in her 60s who had started running marathons.
Not walking.
Not “trying to be healthier.”
Marathons.
And right there beside her was her daughter—probably around my age—who had also been carrying extra weight for years.
They were both sharing how they turned things around using a simple “Tea Habit.”
At first I almost laughed.
Because it sounded way too easy.
Like one of those things you roll your eyes at and keep scrolling past.
But the reason I couldn’t scroll…
Was the proof.
Their before-and-after pictures honestly shocked me.
I stared at them thinking:
No way. That can’t be real.
So I watched the longer version of their story… and the more I listened, the more I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time:
Hope.
They explained the simple "Tea Habit" in a way that was kind of “science-y”—I’ll be real, some of it went over my head…
But I didn’t need to understand every detail.
What I needed was this:
It worked for them.
And in that moment I thought…
Why not me?
At that point, I wasn’t risking anything big.
The worst case? Nothing changes.
But the best case?
Maybe I finally lose the weight that’s been holding me hostage…
and I start feeling like me again.
So I decided to try it.
Something Amazing Happened...
At first, I didn’t think anything major was happening… other than the fact that I wasn’t dragging myself through the day anymore.
My energy felt different.
Lighter. Cleaner. Like I could actually breathe again.
And honestly? That alone felt like a win, because I had gotten so used to feeling tired, sluggish, and “blah” all the time that I forgot what normal energy even felt like.
But then a few days later… something else happened.
I pulled on my favorite pair of jeans and noticed they didn’t feel as tight or uncomfortable.
They actually felt… easy.
And if you’re a woman, you know exactly what that means.
Usually jeans only feel “good” after you’ve worn them a couple days and they stretch out.
That’s why I always dreaded washing them—because the second they come out of the dryer, they’re tight all over again.
But this time?
They were comfortable right away.
And that’s when my brain went:
Wait… hold on.
Because I had just washed them.
I swear I didn’t even think—I immediately went straight to the scale.
And when I saw the number… I literally stood there stunned.
Down 7 pounds.
I stared like it couldn’t be real.
Then I walked over to the mirror and just stood there for a minute… not picking myself apart… not judging… just looking.
And for the first time in a long time, I felt something I didn’t expect:
Gratitude.
Because it wasn’t just about the weight.
It was the way I felt in my body.
The confidence creeping back in.
The way my mind stopped obsessing over everyone else.
I wasn’t comparing.
I wasn’t shrinking myself mentally.
I wasn’t ashamed.
Doing this every day gave me a sense of control again… and it boosted my self-esteem in a way I didn’t even realize I needed.
And I knew right then…
I wasn’t stopping.
It was simple.
It fit my life.
And it was actually working.
From Watching a Post, I Learned How to Drop Inches and Keep Them Off!
Even now, I still catch myself thinking… how is this real?
Because what I’m doing is honestly so small and simple—yet the changes in my body and the way I look are bigger than anything I expected.
For years, I was convinced weight loss had to feel miserable.
Like I needed to barely eat, fight cravings all day, and “earn” my results by punishing myself with workouts I dreaded.
I truly believed the only way to feel like myself again was to completely overhaul my entire life.
You know the routine…
✅ Expensive gym membership
✅ Personal trainer
✅ Meal plans that take hours
✅ Diet rules that make you feel like a failure if you mess up once
And the worst part?
I’ve spent money on those things before… and still didn’t feel like anything changed.
But now… everything feels different.
I can walk into the gym—or even just go about my day—from a place of confidence.
Not desperation.
I already feel lighter.
I already feel stronger.
And I’m not chasing “skinny” anymore.
I’m chasing healthy.
I want energy.
I want my body to feel good.
I want to stop living in survival mode.
And what surprised me most is that this one simple shift helped me move toward all of that without burning myself out.
Because the truth is…
When we keep repeating the same routines that don’t work, there’s an entire industry that benefits from it.
They’ll keep selling us the next diet.
The next detox.
The next “30-day fix.”
The next thing we must buy to finally get results.
But real change doesn’t come from exhaustion and self-punishment.
It comes from learning how to support your body… and letting it work the way it was meant to.
That’s what this small change did for me.
It broke the cycle.
And for the first time in a long time, I don’t feel stuck in constant struggle.
I feel like I’m finally living again.
And I know this works…
Because I’m proof.
Now I'm on the Journey to Lifelong Health and Happiness...
THE NEW ME!
Happy!
